In-Character Information
Name:
Shindou Takuto
Series: Inazuma Eleven GO
Canon-Point: Before the Arakumo Gakuen match. Gotta match his bff, you know.
History: Here!
Personality:
The captain of the team, Shindou Takuto stands as the Atlas of them all, in some ways - he's strong and independent and holds himself as powerfully as he can for his team's sake. If anyone needs a role model, you can bet all the money in the bank Shindou will make himself that idol. He shoulders all of the problems of the team and is determined to Hell and back to sort them all out so no one else has to. He feels that, as the team's captain, it's his duty to make sure everyone is safe and okay, and to handle all the problems himself. He's dead serious about everything he does, and pours his all into doing it. It's what makes him a good leader - he knows how everyone works with everyone else, and if there's a problem, he'll do his best to straighten it out. However - this leads him into taking too much responsibility a lot of the time. He'll blame himself if anything bad happens, no matter who's fault it is, and it leads him into deep depressions from time to time. Though, that means next to nothing, because despite it all he tries to be there for his team and his friends and he won't always let something like that hold him down. He's got quite a stubborn streak.

Shindou, though, isn't a cold person despite how that makes him sound - he's actually very warm and friendly towards his friends and his team, and always puts their needs before his own. He has a deep care for them and their issues, and tires himself out making sure they are okay and can stand on their own. All of this, though - from the top paragraph to now - makes it very, very hard for Shindou to keep a hold on his own emotions; you can bet your sweet ass that if something's a tearjerker, he's off to the side leaking worse than a broken dam. He doesn't mean to cry as much as he does - he's just a very emotional person. Things can hit him very hard, emotionally (and by "very hard" I mean "like a steel bat on a case of a dozen eggs"). He's very empathetic, though, and it makes him both a good leader and a good friend. If someone's going through a hard time, he's the one who'd be by their side, crying with them and comforting them along the way. Even though he has a habit of skipping practice, playing his piano and crying when he's depressed.

Powers: He’s capable of using Hissatsu Techniques - special shots or blocks used in soccer - and there’s nothing saying they can’t use them off the field.
However! Everyone in the Inazuma universe is capable of creating new Hissatsu techniques whenever they want, and they're also capable of adapting ones already created; they're also capable of passing techniques along to others for their use.

20% of his hissatsu would be:

Fortissimo: The lights and sounds appear as usual!! But it doesn't boost the shoot at all. It's rather anticlimactic and disappointing.
Presto Turn: Rather than COMPLETELY DISAPPEARING like some sort of preteen badass, it's just a speed boost.

Because of his canon point, he can't use the rest of his hissatsu. As for his Keshin Shoot, he can't fully summon his Keshin - all he can manage is the black blob of darkness for a few moments - so he's not able to use Harmonics either.
Starter Pokemon: Whismur

Writing Samples
First-Person Sample:

[When the feed clicks on, it probably sounds broken with the high pitched wailing coming from his end of the video - but it's not. That's actually coming from his Pokemon, sadly enough.
And when he speaks up, he kind of has to yell...]

Hello! I'm sorry for the noise, but I have a very important question!
How do you get a Whismur to stop crying!?
I have tried just about everything, and nothing has worked, so I'd appreciate some help!!

[Wow, ow - he winces a bit when the wailing gets louder, and nearly drops the Xtransceiver; though he turns it off first. It's like standing next to a jet engine....]

Third-Person Sample:
Sleeping is hard. Sleeping is very hard. At least, for Shindou, it is for the moment - traveling by foot and sleeping on a shared air mattress in a tent, it's not something he's used to at all. He's used to all the comforts a young master usually has as they grow up; his own, large room, the comfiest bed in the world, and even private suites in hotels if he has to travel. Not that he's complaining, of course! It's all they can do for now, and to complain would be ungrateful for all the hard work everyone has pitched in. Maybe he just needs a little air, right now. So he'll take the Pokeball his Whismur resides in and sneak out, quietly so as to not wake anyone up, and head out on the path for just a short walk. Once outside, he lets the Pokemon out of his ball for now.
"Mm, sorry if I woke you up, Poco. I thought you'd like to take this walk with me."
